For the 2018 edition of the OFFF book, designed by Mucho, I was asked to contribute to the chapter 'Hallucination: The Birth of Meaning'.

The piece explores the idea of experiential blindness, a state we find ourselves in when we look at an image but can''t recall what it depicts from our memory. It is only when we are presented with a trigger image can we perceive the original image but in a different way. This is known as the 'locked state' and causes us to only see the image for what it represents.
